Delhi is rich in north Indian cuisine and its restaurants have come up with some creative ways of presenting it. There are some outstanding places to eat in Delhi to suit all budgets, from fine dining to cheap local eateries. These Indian restaurants in Delhi won't disappoint.
1. Bukhara
If you've got cash to splash, Bukhara has a string of awards to its name, including being voted "Best Indian Restaurant in the World" and "Best Restaurant in Asia" by the Restaurant Magazine in the UK.

Opening Hours: 12.30 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. for lunch on weekends. 7.30 p.m. to 11.45 p.m. for dinner daily.
Cost: Around 6,000 rupees for two people.
What's good: The Dal Bukhara has achieved legendary status. Kebab lovers will also appreciate the Burrah Kebab and Murgh Malai Kebab.

2. Dhaba
The rustic Dhaba has been made to resemble a highway restaurant complete with colorful truck inside. It serves up authentic Punjabi cuisine and the waiters are resplendent in traditional Punjabi attire.

3. Karim's
The decor of this restaurant is nothing much to look at but the food more than makes up for it. Karim Hotel offers inexpensive Mughali style cooking at its best.

What's Good: The Dil Bahaar Dopiaza Stew and Dil Pasand Seekh Kebab.
4. Zaffran
Conveniently located in Connaught Place, Zaffran is furnished with simple yet elegant wood and cane decor. Its large window panes offer a memorable view of the city. The menu features Punjabi and Mughali specialties, and the chutneys and masala pastes are all made in-house.

Another of Delhi's well-established dining institutions, Gulati has been in business since 1959. This lively restaurant, situated not far from India Gate, is renowned for its reasonably priced kebabs and tikka. There's a daily buffet lunch with an enticing variety of dishes.
