Delhi has something for everyone- from markets to entertainment complexes like Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Connaught Place, Hauz Khas, etc. It is the only city in the world to have three UNESCO world heritage monuments that are Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar & the Red Fort. A city that should never be missed out, here are 20 great things to do in India’s capital. 1. Lotus Temple, Okhla East, New Delhi

Lotus temple or Baha’i temple is an architectural masterpiece located near Nehru Place. As the name says, the lotus temple is built in the shape of the lotus flower. The magnificent temple is made up of pure marble. The reason for its lotus shape is ‘Peace’ as the universal symbol to all the religions. In the temple, one must maintain proper silence. One can’t speak anything loud and can’t take photographs. Anyone in the temple can sit for meditating in peace and pray to their respective gods. There are no restrictions to any religions or castes.

2. Hauz Khas, South Delhi Hauz Khas today is a modern village lined with the trendiest eateries and pubs in South Delhi. Nowadays, it has become the most famous hangout place for every youth. Magical Qawwali’s at Nizamuddin Dargah, Old Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah is the resting place of one of the world’s most famous Sufi saints. Nizamuddin Dargah attracts Sufi devotees from across the world. Every Thursday evening, its courtyard erupts with the soulful tunes of live Qawwalis. You will feel lost in the magic of live Qawwalis that are performed here. The Nizamuddin Dargah has also been featured in some Bollywood blockbusters like Rockstar, Delhi 6 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. 4. Connaught Place, New Delhi The Connaught Place is the heart of Delhi. The area houses all things cultural, from old cinemas, hotels and toy shops to leading contemporary art galleries. If you are a Hindu devout, then the Hanuman Temple is the perfect place to go here. The temple is considered to be one of the oldest Hindu temples in Delhi. 6. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, New Delhi Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is in the heart of Delhi in Connaught Place. Inside the Gurudwara, you can sit and enjoy Sikh performances like dancing and singing.
